Muisca Folk Art Tile Framed in Shadow Box Colombian Tile Based on Batik 10' x 9

  

This is a beautiful Muisca produced folk art tile in a beautiful white shadow box frame. Noted on the back that it was made for Marcel Mirror Co. The artwork is based on original batiks produced by Muisca artists. Muisca is one of the 4 grand civilizations in present day Colombia (others are Inca, Aztec and Maya). The region is known for murals among other arts crafts.
